Japan Trip 2013 - Tokyo Disney Sea Finale
The nights grew darker and we made our way to our final stop of the day, Big Band Beat, before joining in the whole Disney Sea crowd for the Fantasmic! show at the Mediterranean Harbour.
The Big Band Beat show was on a first come first served basis until all the seats are filled up. When we arrived at the place there was already a huge queue waiting to go in the auditorium. Fortunately for us there were still seats left and we were able to get in after a 20 minute wait.
The live band show has several time slots across the day and I highly recommend it! The jazz themed performances were top class and original, unlike the Monster Rock Show in Universal Studios Singapore. Thankfully the show was conducted in English and we could understand the whole thing.
At about 8pm the huge crowd were already by the Harbour, waiting for Fantasmic! to start.I managed to grab a spot quite near to the lake but there was an annoying lamp post blocking my view half of the time. The fireworks at the end of the show was rather small. Disney Land probably has better pyrotechnics but I'm not complaining. The overall package was very well executed!
My final moments were spent in the souvenir shop doing some last minute shopping. I went YOLO mode and bought a really pink Minnie Mouse T-Shirt for ¥1900. It's actually quite cheap for the Japanese if you don't convert. Everybody was mostly wearing the official T-shirts in the park. The train ride back from Mahama station was rather packed as most of the visitors are leaving at the same time. Good bye Disney Sea, I will definitely be back!!
