Singapore Trip 2009

Day 1

Arrived at JB around 3.30pm. My bus purposely drove into Machap just to stop for 30 minutes. @@ My aunty along with my cousin then picked me up from the bus station and headed to my uncle's office to have lunch. From there my uncle took us to City Square where i finished roaming the place in about 1 hour. Met up with Fong Teng and had dinner in some japanese restaurant, courtesy of my cousin. Hehe. After taking our luggages it off to Singapore!!!!

My room for the first 2 nights

The new CIQ complex was huge! Had to walk quite awhile before getting clearance. Hehe. It looks more like an airport now. After crossing Singapore Immigration, we took a bus to Kranji MRT station and headed to Boon Lay, where my cousin's hostel is situated.

Couldn't sleep the whole night though. @@ Went to eat Nasi Lemak for supper at around 3am. Haiz.

Day 2
Woke up around 8am and then headed to my cousin's polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic. I tell you the place is freaking huge!!! All the private universities put together also cannot match the poly's size. @@ UCSI is like a kid standing next to a giant. Haha. Just the tour around the poly took about 3 hours! They have their own convention center, auditorium, 3 gyms, A STADIUM!!, in house MCD, KFC, subway etc.

Moberly is what they so called student's corner. As you can see they have lots of facilities for the students to relax. From BBQ pits to Nintendo Wii to pool to computer labs to swimming pools. @@

Next we were off to Bugis to meet my cousin sister. From there we went to the National Library and the Toy Museum. Kononnya the library very special because its wholly made of aluminium. Furthermore, there is also a performing arts theatre and many other things in it besides just books.

The toy museum consist of all the collection of toys from the days of your great grandfathers. To which most has disappeared recently as PSP and Nintendo DS become the latest trend for kids thesedays. These toys displayed here are worth up $5000 USD!! So people better keep your toys. Who knows a 100 years later it will worth 5k too. Hehe.

Some super hero. LOL

Next we headed to Raffles Hotel for a quick visit and lunch and then to this place below. Formerly, it was quite a big church but has now since been converted into restaurants, bars and shops for shopping. Talk about innovative. LOL.

Next we headed to the Esplanade and Singapore flyer. Esplanade or known as the durian building is something like our Istana Budaya here at KL.

Top of the world

Lastly we headed to Changi airport to meet my cousin's neighbour and had dinner at a chinese restaurant over there. Hehe.

Day 3

Headed to Vivo City and Sentosa although there was some downpour.><

Apparently Singaporeans pee in lifts. =X

Sentosa

Merlion

After Sentosa we headed Bugis to meet up with my cousin's friends. Checked in at Hotel 81. The room was surprisingly quite nice. With a plasma TV, big bed...etc...h

After having dinner in some stall where they served one of the largest mushroom soup i've ever seen. Then we are off to Clarke Quay.

Clarke Quay is the central focus of night life in Singapore where clubs and bars fill the entire area. Apparently Singapore had done a great job on landscaping. Places for shopping, clubbing are all separated clearly in different locations.

The club we went to was called Rebel. The entrance fee was only $15!! With 3 free drinks. I wonder which club in Malaysia has this kind of offer. Hehe. Clubbed till 5am that night. Really tiring. @@ I guess i'm not suitable for this kind of lifestyle. Hehe.

This nasi lemak was the last meal for me in Singapore. First time see people eat nasi lemak put otak one. @@

2 days really not enough to tour around Singapore. Haven't visited Orchard, Chinatown, Geylang and that vertical bungee jumping!!!

That's all for now. =)
