Of Membranes & Red Blood Cells

Today my experiment of the day is to extract red blood cells(by pricking ourselves with a needle) and then immerse them into 3 different type of solutions(isotonic, hypertonic and hypotonic) and observe what will happen to the cells. =D

Overall it was quite fun seeing your blood projected on the big screen and helping friends to prick their fingers muahhahahahhaa. =X

Even bigger screen~

RBC in hypotonic solution. Can see clearly the cells have haemolysed.

DSC00376
RBC in isotonic solution. All the cells nice nice. =D

RBC in hypertonic solution. All cells crenated. =D

That's all for now. =)
