Penang Trip 2011- Straits Quay Part 2
And so I am back again at Straits Quay! XD
After resting awhile I came here this time for the desserts!!
Charlie Brown Cafe!
The interiors
The windows
The ceiling
The cake- White chocolate cheese. Cost about RM9++ man! Not exactly cheap. Taste wise it's not bad.
I headed to the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre next. Surprisingly, the people there offered to do a tour for us about the place F.O.C! Very interesting place.
...and so begins our tour..
The founders of the pewter business
The first few products to be made.
A very fine pot
Scrap pewter
Different pewter of different densities
Working table
After a brief tour the employee there even demonstrated to us how to make pewter stuff!
First, melt the pewter...
Then pour it into a mould...
Open the mould..
TADAAA. Your end product.
More similiar samples.
Furthermore, you can even design your own pewter products! Well, specifically a bowl... but with your own personal engraving..
End of the day you will get your bowl and a cert! Rm60 per person though.
They still make F1 trophies. Impressive.
Feeling hungry after the tour i went for more desserts! XD
Presenting Fruuze! A cheaper alternative compared to Tutti Frutti. Hopefully this shop will still be there the next time i go Penang.
For rm9.80 you can pick either 3 flavors of yogurt and 2 toppings!
Green tea yoghurt with chocolate rice and strawberry topping
Original yoghurt with almond chips and strawberry topping
Quite nice i must say. Definitely more worth it than Tutti Frutti. =P
