Sungai Petani Trip 2012

So after the Penang Marathon, my friend brought me and other friends back to his hometown at Sungai Petani, Kedah. It was a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy Penang town. Sungai Petani is technically considered relatively 'kampung'-like with huge spans of paddy fields along the main highways. The air here is fresher with the abundance of greeneries and life is certainly more laid back here compared to Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

Despite it's fair share of gorgeous landscapes, there are also good food to be found, like this Dai You Bin Dim Sum shop. We were very lucky that day as they had some offer and a huge assortments of dim sums costs only RM1 per plate!

And after that we went to visit a bee hoon production factory. Very enlightening experience indeed.

And lastly, a drop at the latest shopping mall in SP - Amanjaya. It's a small but decent mall with all the necessary shops to attract the crowd.
