Tioman: Day 1

5.30am: Woke up.

6.30am: The taxi came. Boarded it and left for the airport(without breakfast).

7.15am: Reached the Subang airport. Since like ages since the last time i've been here to renew my passport. It's so quiet now. Started to take pictures. Hehe. Wanted to buy breakfast at a fast food restaurant but the 大牌 chef still don't want to cook.==

8am: Finally the gates are opened and we boarded our plane. It's a Fokker(a plane which uses propellers instead of a jet engine).

8.15am: The plane finally takes of and we are of to Tioman Island~~! Due to the fact that the fact can only manage a certain altitude, we could still clearly see the land beneath us. The sight was quite nice actually, passing through mountains and crossing borders to other states. I wonder did we pass by any of those mountains learned in Geography (forgotten all the names liao).

9.00am: Finally reached Pulau Tioman airport( see pic). A bus from Berjaya was already there loyally waiting for their customers. The bus that was used was exactly the same one I sat on during the 5S4/08 Pangkor Island trip. At first view, Tioman is a lot less commercialized compared to Pangkor and Langkawi. For one, they do not even have taxis. To move around the island, you need to hire drivers for you, at a price. So its relatively inconvenient. But this was also due to the fact that Tioman is a marine park(we had to pay a fee to enter Tioman at the airport)

9.20am: Reached the hotel lobby. It took a gruesome one hour to check in because there was no proper queuing line and there are quite a number tourist checking in at the same day. Took pictures again. Hehe.

10.30am: Arrived at our chalet. It was located near the main entrance into the resort, which is a far distance from the beach and the swimming pool. T.T Ispotted a mini comodo dragon walking around. Took some pictures too(not uploaded). Hehe. After throwing our stuff in the room we decided to go for breakfast as everybody was aching with hunger. We called a service of a driver called 'Boy' and he took us to a restaurant nearby. The restaurant was called Lalang. Weird. Ordered a type of prawns, some western breakfast. The price was still ok in this restaurant.

Boy then took us for shopping at the souvenir shop and duty free shop. I bought 2 bottles of wine, one red one white and a t shirt for myself and then we went back to the chalet.

11.30am: After resting awhile, my dad suggested to have a look at the main jetty. We took one of the trams provided by the resort and went to the jetty, which was actually just beside the airport!(pics provided) After walking around and taking pictures and headed back to the hotel for a rest.

5.00pm: My dad brought all of us to the swimming pool. After swimming for 40 minutes i dried myself and went to the gym and had a good workout.

6.00pm: Rushed back to the chalet to have a bath because my parents have a spa appointment at 8.00pm. We went back the same restaurant we had for breakfast. As my parents headed to the spa, my siblings and I headed to the games room where they had arcades and computer. This was a money sapping activity. I had to fork out RM10 to use the computer for an hour. Played Fifa 07, got uncle cheering me on some more XD. Tried to play F.E.A.R but the introduction was so freaking long that i gave up.

11pm: Good night
