Tioman: Day 2
7.30am: Woke up. Today will going island hopping and snorkelling~~
8.00am: Arrived at the mamak stall just outside the resort for breakfast. Waited for a staggering ONE hour before my roti canai finally arrives.
9.30am: Waiting for the person in charge while my mum gets towels from a counter beside the pool.
10.00am: Person in charge finally came and brought us to the jetty which is located at the other end of the resort( see pic). Waited for aorund 20 minutes before our boat came. A few other family joined us as well.
10.30am: We first went to Coral Island(see pic). The beach there was the whitest I've ever came across(note: not most beautiful, just white). The water was quite clear that you can see the bottom of the ocean. The sand was like flour, literally(no pic). Soft, smooth and kind of hard to walk on(because your feet will sink each step you take.)You can actually grab it in your hand and watch it flow out smoothly. Our boat man then distrbuted snorkelling gear which consist of the life jacket and goggles and the tube and we were off for snorkelling. We need not head far to find fishes, you just need to know where to find them, i.e. coral beds. Over here i saw a few variety of fishes such as angel fish and other colourful fishes( i don't really know the names><).
One hour later, we headed to some bay. We did not go to the beach but we er..parked somewhere in the middle of the sea(not ocean). We did snorkelling again. Over here there were much much more corals( mostly discoloured or near death) and much more fishes. Used bread as bait to lure. As soon as i place my hand with bread in the water, SCHOOLS of fish will come hunting for it. My poor finger became the victim a few times. Those hungry fishes really can bite.
Next we stopped by at Kampung Salang. Had our lunch there. I ordered grill fish which tasted and felt like chicken. Worst than NS man. Then headed to the souvenir shop and bought a T-shirt for Jin May(hope she likes it) and key chains. Confirmed that my camera was officially dead. SOB.
After lunch and further feeding of fishes, we headed to other places for further snorkelling and fish feeding and nibbling. The view was AWESOME, with all kinds of fishes that i never saw before swarming towards my hand. Er, they were the black fish, fishes with stripes, big black fish that resembles a goldfish, angel fish, parrot fish and many others i don't know. Since i didn't go deep sea diving so i didn't manage to get a glimpse of dolphins.
Destination #5 was the marine park. I have no idea why they call this the marine park though. Over here the water was very much deeper and not so clear. The fishes were all bigger and is edible XD but not so colourful and they don't fall for bread. So its quite boring here.
My last trip was to Renggis Island(see pic. Over here they were further more corals and small colorful fishes. Did the same thing again and my poor hand seemed to be screaming in agony. Finished every single fragment of bread for the fishes. I even took one kaya bread(meant for humans) and fed them which they all still ate to their heart's contents. Fishes are fishes. No offense. After 6 hours of play we went back to our chalet and got some sleep.
6pm: Started taking photographs. Tried to take the sun set but the stupid clouds were blocking (see pic). Thanks to photoshop the photo turned out to be quite nice, but not great. Will be learning how to take a HDR soon.
9pm: Went for buffet dinner at the coffee house. The food was ok but the price was not. The only thing i liked was the indian chicken + herbs( no picture). Took pics of the indian chef tossing some roti up and down. Maybe will get published in my dad's book. *hopeful*
10pm: Went to games room and played pool with my dad. Got a bit of improvent la, hehehe.
11.30pm: Lights out.
