Langkawi Trip - Eagle Feeding & Fish Feeding (Island Hopping)

After spending about 1 hour at Pulau Beras Basah, we were off to witness eagle feeding at another nearby island. There's nothing much that can be done here as we only can watch the eagles from faraway. Having a 200mm lens with a 24 megapixel sensor will certainly help a lot in photographing these majestic birds.

Eagles catching their food, which is chicken skin i think, thrown by some of the boat operators.

We watched the birds for about 10 more minutes before departing to our next stop, which is a fish rearing sanctuary. This was not included in our itinerary and had to be specially requested. Entrance fees are RM10 for unsuspecting tourists but we got it for RM7 thanks to our boat operator. You will given fish food pellets after entering. The food is practically useless because the fishes will only respond to real fish food.

In each compartments there are different types of fishes. From beautiful coral fishes to fishes that can be served at your dining table. The fishes here are quite big since most of them are well and heavily fed.

Hi, how much did your eagle feeding and fish feeding trip cost in total? Which operator did you go with?

Hi Jessthelamb,

The eagle feeding is included in the island hopping package which costs about Rm30-35 according to your operation. The fish feeding is another extra rm7-rm10 depending on your luck. I went with one from Kuah Jetty.

Hi Anonymous,

I went for the Island Hopping Package, not the mangrove tour. That one is pricier.

HMM.. whats the difference yeah? =D

Well, you will be visiting mangroves that's for sure. And maybe caves. I believe at the end of the day dinner is provided as well.

Island hopping is only a half day thing.

Oh... could you give me the contact? If thats not too much trouble for you. I'm going tmr :)

Oh you could just head to Kuah Jetty tomorrow. There are many operators there. I just randomly picked one. For island hopping, as long as the price is below rm35 per person then it's not an overkill :)
